 Mayte Michelle Rodriguez (born on July 12, 1978) is an American actress.Rodriguez started her career in 2000 when she portrayed a troubled boxer in the sports drama independent film Girlfight (2000) and she was awarded the Independent Spirit Award and Gotham Award for her best debut performance. Rodriguez was in the film as Letty Ortiz as a Fast & Furious star, and Rain Ocampo in Resident Evil. S.W.A.T. was her debut film role. She was in S.W.A.T. which was a crime thriller (2003). Later she appeared as Minerva Mirabal, in James Cameron's epic science fiction film Avatar (2009) as well as in Battle: Los Angeles (2011). Rodriguez also starred in the exploitation film Machete Kills (2010) and Turbo (2013). She was also the voice of Liz Ricarro in Immortal Grand Prix the English-language version (2005-2006).
