 Alyson Lee Hannigan (born on March 24, 1974) is an American actress. She started her career as a commercial actor at the age of four. At age 11 she moved to Hollywood and was quickly hired by an agent. Hannigan also appeared in supporting parts in comedy films Impure Thoughts (1986), and My Stepmother Is an Alien (1988) which earned her a Young Artist Award nomination. Her film career began in 1999 playing Michelle Flaherty (the main character in the series' love interest). She appeared in all of the American Pie films from 1999 until 2012. As a result of her work in the series, she was nominated for three Teen Choice Awards and won a Young Hollywood Award. She then appeared in the film parody Date Movie (2006), the slasher movie You Might Be the Killer (2018) and the film about superheroes Flora & Ulysses (2021).Hannigan got her start on television when she appeared in the sitcom that ran for a short time Free Spirit from 1989 to 1990, and for that she was awarded a Young Artist Award nomination. After a couple of small appearances in TV movies she was cast as Willow Rosenberg, a teenage witch, in the supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
