Sara

 Sara Lynn Evans (/'se@r@/; born February 5, 1971) is an American country music artist and songwriter. She also is credited as a producer of records, actress, and author. She had five songs reach the number one position on the Billboard country chart and has sold more than six million albums. Nine other singles have reached the top ten of the Billboard country chart, including "I Could Not Ask for More", "I Keep Looking" and "Cheatin'". In her the top 20 charting singles are "Saints and Angels", "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus" and "As If". She has received awards from both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. She has also been nominated for numerous other awards from both associations which include Female Vocalist of the Year and Single of the Year.Evans was raised in New Franklin, Missouri and began singing with her siblings in The Evans Family Band. The group played throughout her childhood and teens in her home region. In her teens, Evans and her older brother Matt formed their own band before making the move to Nashville, Tennessee in 1991 to pursue a career in country music.
