 Jose Romulo Sosa Ortiz, 17 February 1948 - 28 September 2019 was a Mexican actor and singer. Jose was born into a musical family and began his career when he was a teenager, performing on guitar as well as singing in serenades. He then joined a jazz and bossa nova trio , where he sang and played double and bass bass.Jose Jose achieved success as a solo performer in the beginning of the 1970s. He showcased his talents as a tenor singer with the powerful rendition of "El Triste" at an Latin music festival in Mexico City in 1970. This song helped to climb the Latin charts during that decade. His singing became a success, and he earned international recognition as a balladeer. His 1983 album Secretos has sold more than 25 million copies. With many international hits, he received many Grammy nominations and recognition worldwide. In concert venues such as Madison Square Garden or Radio City Music Hall, he sold out. His music was played in countries that are not Spanish-speaking, such as Russia, Israel, and Japan.
