Abby Dowse

If you were born after the 1980s, it may be difficult to understand the extent to which ABBA was for the next 10 years. After receiving the prestigious Eurovision song award in 1974, ABBA rose to the top of charts. The Eurovision song prize launched a remarkable period of commercial success that included eight hits records as well as a variety of hits such as "Dancing Queen", "Fernando" or "Money Money Money". The group also composed the music for the Broadway musical "Mamma Mia" which has been sold out theaters across the world since the late 90s.During their career, ABBA has sold over 400 million records worldwide. It's true, that makes them the second best music group in history behind The Beatles. When you include the solo performers, ABBA is the fourth best selling musical musical act in the world, just behind the #3 Michael Jackson (450 million albums sold) #3 Elvis (550 million) and the #1 (again) The Beatles (600 million). Every member of ABBA is worth of between $200 million to $300 million. But unlike many other major musical acts from the past (even those that have had extremely bitter breakups) ABBA has never put on the reunion tour.
