john-denver

Singer-songwriter John Denver touched millions of people. He also achieved the status of a superstar by his folk-inspired pop hits most of which were based in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell new Mexico, but fell in love Colorado. He eventually settled in Aspen. Denver's anthems of fame about Colorado are a source of inspiration for many to move to the state. I can't think of another performer that embodies Colorado like John Denver said G. Brown curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. Denver was a member of the Hall of Fame as its the first member in 2011. Many consider Denver to be the Colorado image. When you encounter people from other countries, like New Zealanders, and they say "I come from Colorado" then they instantly react by saying Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short career performing in small folk group comprised of Take Me Home Country Roads co-written with Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the track in the spirit of Johnny Cash, but Denver could hear an early version of the song and realized the song would be one of the Top 10 hits. The song was recorded just a few weeks after that Washington D.C. performance.
