Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has an estimated net worth of $90 million. At his best, Usain Bolt was the fastest human on the planet and was among the most well-paid athletes in the world in particular during Olympics seasons. Prior to the Olympics Usain was paid between $20-30 million and more each year. He is the most highly-paid track and fields athlete ever. It's possible that the bulk of his earnings were through endorsements, not competition prizes. The biggest sum of money he earned was from the German shoe manufacturer Puma which gave Usain nine million dollars a year to wear their shoes at all times at all times, both on and off the track. Usain brought home additional millions from contracts with Visa, Nissan and Gatorade. In 2010, Bolt published a best-selling autobiography which received an advance of a million dollars from publisher Harper Collins. Usain also commands appearance fees of $250,000 to $500,000 to compete at events for track and field all over the world. Usain has won eight gold medals in his Olympic career. He holds a number of world records including the 100 meter (9.58 seconds) and the 200 meter (19.19).
