Shonda

 Shonda Rhimes is an American writer, director, and author, has an estimated worth of $140 million. She is most famous for being the creator, executive producer, and head writer of the television shows "Scandal," "Grey's Anatomy," and "Private Practice," among others.Shonda Lynn Rhimes was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 13th in 1970. She is the youngest of six children. Shonda was a student at Marian Catholic High School. She was a volunteer in the hospital during high school. This led her to become interested in the hospital environment. She went to Dartmouth College where she majored in film studies. Shonda received her BA in 1991. Shonda then moved to San Francisco to start a D agency. She moved to Los Angeles to enroll in the MFA program at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. She concentrated on screenwriting and was among the top of her USC Class.After graduating from USC, Rhimes, like many new college graduates, was an unemployed screenwriter in Hollywood. She was a part of the 1995 documentary "Hank Aaron: Chasing the Dream," which won the Peabody Award in 1995.
