Brian "Peanut" Brown is a 47-year-old music industry executive from Detroit who appears to is the perfect example of the rags-to-riches tale. Brown spent 10 years in prison for drug conspiracy and was released in. Seven years later, and Brown is now a successful hip-hop mogul and self-described hood hero who is currently promoting a self-help book titled Living For The Sacrifice: A Hood Hero's Guide To Achieving Success. While Brown may seem to be an ideal model for those who have been through tough circumstances in their lives, it is likely that Brown was involved in drug-related crimes. According to court documents, Brown is one of the most well-known heroin dealers in the Midwest. His record label, BMB Records is nothing but a front to launder his drug money. According to The Detroit News, this report is the result an extensive investigation that started after the government temporarily released an official search warrant for federal authorities.
