The Meet Group, Inc. (formerly MeetMe), owns several mobile social networks, which include MeetMe, hi5, LOVOO, Growlr, Skout, Tagged, and Skout. There are offices located in New Hope and Philadelphia as in San Francisco and Dresden. They persuaded their older brother Geoff, who had founded EssayEdge and ResumeEdge out of his Harvard dorm to invest in their venture. Dave was in junior high, and Catherine was an undergraduate at the time of its launch. The site was first launched in Montgomery High School in suburban New Jersey, where they both attended. The site was designed entirely by people from India.In June of 2012, the business that was created from the combination of myYearbook and Quepasa was renamed MeetMe. The reason for this change is that "Yearbook" means more about meeting people from the past, while "MeetMe" will convey the meaning of users making new friends which is the purpose for which the site is designed to do.
