He is an actor from the United States of America and an ex-professional wrestler. The Rock is widely considered to be one of the most professional wrestlers ever. The contribution he made to the growth of the World Wrestling Federation, now WWE, during the Attitude Era (an industry boom period in late 1990s and early 2000s) was widely recognized. Johnson worked for the WWF for 18 years prior to choosing to pursue a career as an actor. Johnson, who was an actor prior to when he became a top-grossing actor in the decade of 2010, had previously wrestled with the WWF for 8 years. Johnson was a star at Freedom High School, Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley. He played on the school's football and wrestling teams.
