 John the Apostle [10John the Apostle[10 (Ancient Greek: Ioannes; Latin: Ioannes[11] c. 6 AD - ca. 100 AD; Ge'ez: yohhanese;) or Saint John the Beloved was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus according to the New Testament. John is usually referred to as the youngest apostle. He was the son Zebedee and Salome. The brother of his was James was another member of the Twelve Apostles. James, James' brother, was one of the Twelve Apostles.
