Jeanine Ferris Pirro, born June 2 1951 was an American television host, author, and former New York State prosecutor, judge and politician. Pirro hosted Fox News Channel's Justice With Judge Jeanine from 2001 to 2022, when she was promoted to co-host on The Five. She was a frequent contributor to NBC News and made frequent appearances on The Today Show. She was also the first judge of a female gender to be elected in Westchester County, New York.Pirro was elected the first female district attorney for Westchester County.As district attorney, Pirro gained visibility in cases of domestic violence and crimes against the elderly. Pirro was briefly considered for the Republican nomination for the United States Senate in 2006. She was running against Hillary Clinton. However, she accepted the nomination as New York Attorney General. She was defeated in the general election by Andrew Cuomo. In the year 2018, she wrote the book Liars, Leakers, and Liberals The case Against the Anti-Trump Conspiracy.Pirro was identified as defendant in a 2021 defamation lawsuit by Smartmatic in connection with false allegations of election fraud during the 2020 United States presidential election,
