 Dua Lipa (/’du:@ ‘li:p@/ [listen] DOOLEE-p@ Albanian: ‘dua ’lipa; born 22 August 1995), is an Englishand Albanian musician and singer. Her distinctive disco-pop style is due to her mezzo-soprano voice. Lipa has won numerous awards including six Brit Awards as well as three Grammy Awards. She also received two MTV Europe Music Awards and an MTV Video Music Award. In 2014, Lipa signed with Warner Bros. Records and released her debut album, "Lipa". The album reached third place on the UK Albums Chart and produced eight singles which included "Be the One", "IDGAF", and the UK number one hit single "New Rules" and also reached the top spot at six in the US. The album has been certified platinum in many countries around the world and earned Lipa the Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act in 2018.Her 2018 single "One Kiss" reached the top spot in the UK and was the year's longest-running number-one single by a female artist, receiving the 2019 Brit Award for Song of the Year.
