Bilbo

 Bilbo Baggins is the main and title character of J. R. R. Tolkien's 1937 novel The Hobbit. He also is a character supporting for The Lord of the Rings and is the fictional narrator for the majority of Tolkien's Middle-earth writings. The Hobbit is selected by the wizard Gandalf to aid Thorin and his band of Dwarves return to their ancestral home and their treasures, that was taken by the dragon Smaug. The Hobbit's Bilbo is a shy, comfort-loving young man who begins his journey in The Hobbit, but grows to become a skilled and useful member of the quest. This isn't compatible with the more traditional world of Dwarves and Elves. Tolkien is believed to have created Bilbo on the designer William Morris's travels in Iceland; Morris liked his comfortable home, but developed by his adventures. Bilbo's journey has been described as a spiritual journey and growth in virtue and wisdom, and as a spiritual journey to wholeness.Bilbo has appeared in numerous films and radio adaptations of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings as well as in video games based on these works.
