 Andrew Dean East (born September 17, 1991) is an ex- American football long snapper. He played his college football at Vanderbilt, and has also had multiple stints with various NFL teams, including the Washington Redskins.East was named a captain for the North Central High School football team in Indianapolis, Indiana. The three-year veteran was a starter on special teams and defense for the division 5A school that is located in the Indianapolis area.When East was a sophomore and junior, he began as a linebacker recording 110 tackles in his junior year. East was the All-Around Area linebacker and started as an offensive long-snapper in his senior year. As a starter the linebacker contributed 64 tackles to the defense, and seven quarterback sacks. East was also named the Indiana Academic All-State honors. He is married to Shawn Johnson, an Olympic gymnast and a gold medalist. East and Johnson got engaged at Wrigley Field on July 24, 2015. They later tied the knot in Franklin, Tennessee on April 16, 2016. The couple has two kids one of whom was born in October of 2019 and an infant son born in July 2021.
