Talib Kweli is an entrepreneur, rapper, and activist with a net worth of $4 million. At first, he achieved recognition as part of the hip hop duo Black Star alongside fellow rapper Mos Def. He has had an enviable solo career, and has collaborated with many artists, including Kanye West and Just Blaze. His mother is an English professor, while his father is an administrator at Adelphi University. Kweli has a younger brother called Jamal. Kweli attended Brooklyn Technical High School as teenager, later Cheshire Academy in Connecticut. Kweli took classes in experimental theatre at New York University for his higher education. He also appeared as a guest performer on a handful of tracks on Mood’s 1997 album, "Doom."
